Happy 4th of July!

I'm taking the day off to spend time with family and friends and celebrate the 4th of July. We have traditions of putting mentos in Diet Coke, eating lots of good food, and watching fireworks.

o Are you a U.S. citizen? Were you born in the United States or are you an immigrant? How about your family line – who was the first to come to America and where did they come from? What does your citizenship mean to you? Have you ever lived anywhere else?

o If you live in another country, what national holiday(s) do you celebrate? What traditions do you have for your holidays?

o Where have you traveled in America? Where did you go and what did you see? Use a map of the states and mark your travels on it. It would be fun to color in all the states you have been to with the dates of your trips. Print out another map for your “dreams and goals” album and mark the states you would still like to see. I think it would be amazing to travel to all 50 states!

o Capture the celebrations typical of the 4th of July such as fireworks, rodeos, picnics, and other recreational activities. Serve red, white, and blue foods to add a festive touch to your entertaining this day. To make your photos extra fun, have everyone wear patriotic colors.
