A few great resources

This post might seem a little off topic at first glance, but bear with me for a minute. For me, everything in life contributes to (or takes away from) my creativity. One of the ways I feel like I’m most creative is my ability to find and make use of great resources. I’ve found a few lately that I’m excited to share!

Charity Navigator - this is such a great site to look up ratings for charities and find out if they are responsible with the donations they receive. You won’t find every charity listed, but you will definitely find most of them and you can glance at the overall rating, or deep dive into the specifics. You can even look up celebrities and find the causes they support.

GrubHub - people bringing food to my house? Yes, please! You can use your computer or download an app on your phone and browse for available restaurants, place an order, pay, and leave feedback without having to leave your seat. Game changer! I’ve also had good luck with Door Dash and I’ve heard good things about Uber Eats as well.

Store pickup - many grocery stores and big chain stores offer store pickup. You place your order online and then head to the store when the order is ready (usually a time window). I’ve bought groceries this way, purchased books at Barnes and Noble, and even a few Target orders. Such a time saver. Where were these services when I had little kids?

Venmo - I use this app all the time! I’ve reimbursed friends and paid for haircuts, home repairs, and window cleaning all from my phone. I rarely write checks anymore and I wish everyone would use Venmo because it’s so easy.

What are your best resources for making life easier? I’m always on the lookout for new ones so please leave me a comment if you have something to share.
