How to create a quick and easy photo collage in Google Photos
Google Photos is such a great resource for storing and sharing photos, but did you know you can also use it to whip up super quick collages? Here's a quick how-to on creating collages in Google Photos.
If you are using a browser to access Google Photos, just click on the CREATE link toward the top right side of the browser page when you have Google Photos open. Then select collage. You can also access the collage feature from inside an album. Simply open the album and select between 2-9 photos.
Once your photos are selected, just click on the + sign in the upper right corner and your collage will instantly appear and also be saved to Google Photos.
It's incredibly easy! The only downside is that you can't adjust the arrangement or crop of the photos. But if you play around with it, you can get some great results.
If you are using the Google Photos app on your phone or tablet, it's pretty similar.
Click on the 3 dots ... in the search bar to reveal the menu and then select between 2-9 photos. After your photos are selected, then click on the + sign next to the 3 dots in the upper right corner. Then choose the collage feature.
Again, you cannot alter the layout, but you can't beat the ease and convenience! I love that I can do all of this in just a few quick minutes right on my phone.
While you can't adjust individual images in the collage layout once they are selected, you certainly can edit images before they go into a collage. You can also edit the collage as a single image just like any other picture in Google Photos. Just select the edit tool and choose a filter. I chose the Ollie filter for this one and edited the entire thing at once.
I love how it even changed the border color for a different look. Try using Google Photos to make a quick and easy collage. You will be happy to have this in your book of creative tricks!
