Lucky Me collection, free gift, and inspiration
Release day is a big deal around here and this new collection is one of my personal favorites. March is my birthday month so I love St. Patrick’s day theme items. We don’t usually do much for St. Patrick’s day, but I love to include these festive touches on my pages and projects throughout the month. I’m excited to reveal the new collection here with you and also share some ideas and inspiration for creative projects.
a few ideas on documenting everyday life
Whether or not you follow my monthly roundup prompts, I hope you have a system for documenting the details of your everyday life. It might seem overwhelming during a busy month or boring during slower times, but it’s worth having some systems in place to help you capture the details.
Here are a few of my suggestions to make documenting an easy part of your routine.
Chocolate Box collection
I had soooo much fun designing this new collection! I have to admit that I’ve been craving chocolate for weeks now while I’ve been working on all of these designs. I think I need to get myself some chocolate today as a reward for getting it all done. Don’t you agree?
I think there will be some fun pages and projects to create with all of these goodies. If you are thinking of giving someone a chocolate-themed gift, it would be really cute to frame one of the cards or printables and include it with a nice box of chocolates. Wouldn’t that be fun?
How do you roundup a month like January 2021?
I think this was the most difficult roundup I’ve ever done. Life has been hard to document over the last year, but this was a particularly scary month in the United States. I couldn’t exactly leave political events off of my recap and I wouldn’t want to do that. I also needed to be sure they were recorded in a way that will be suitable for all viewers of my album. I plan to do more journaling of the events that took place, but won’t be sharing those publicly.
I hope that by sharing my approach, it will make it easier for you to decide how you want to do your own documenting.
Time for a memory roundup!
Now that January has (finally) ended, it’s time for my list of roundup prompts. Before I put them all together on a reminder graphic, I wanted to check in with all of you about roundups in general.
New collection out today - Full Heart
I’m super excited to introduce my new Full Heart collection! Happy pinks & reds with some beautiful blue and brown accents. A cute little bear and lots of great word art + oodles of papers and pocket cards. So fun, right?!
New Pet collection out today
Do you have any fur babies in your home? My daughter got a brand new puppy right after Thanksgiving and we finally got to meet her at Christmas. She is such a sweetie and it was fun to have her in our home. We had a golden retriever named Ginger for 10 years. We rescued her when she was 3 years old and we were so sad when she passed away from cancer. We also had a cat named Figaro for several years so I have plenty of pet memories to document. I’m really excited about this new collection and can’t wait to use it for my own projects. All items are available separately or if you want the best deal possible, check out the Big Bundle for the biggest savings!
December and Year-end Recaps
I finally got all of my Christmas decorations put away yesterday so it feels a bit bare around here, but also fresh and clean. So far, the first few days of January have mostly been about working on unfinished business from last year. I cleaned up Christmas, cleaned out the fridge, and completed my December roundup. I also tallied up our stats from the year (husband’s travel, Jazz games attended, etc.) which didn’t take me very long since most of that all stopped last March. I also put together a year-end recap page. It feels so good to get these tasks done!
How to begin a new memory keeping year
We start off the calendar year with a brand new slate for telling our stories so it’s a natural time to make some decisions about how to document our daily lives. While I do want to emphasize that we don’t have to have everything figured out for the entire year as of today, it’s also a good time to consider some overall approaches as some of them depend on daily action.
