March Focus: Moments in Time
Hello March! This month’s theme is Moments in Time, and I chose it because I want to stop and document the way my everyday life is right now.
When I think about “moments in time,” I think about capturing life as it actually is. What does your day really look like right now? What are you spending your time on? What feels different than it did a few months ago?
Reflection questions for March
Here are a few questions to help you think about moments in time this month. You can write about them in your journal, add them to your planner, or use them in your monthly roundup.
What does a normal day look like for you right now? The small routines often say more than we realize.
Was there a moment that made you pause? Maybe it was something unexpected, something quiet, or something you do not want to forget.
What feels different in this season of your life? It could be your schedule, your energy, your priorities, or your environment.
What is filling most of your time lately? Work, family, creativity, rest, something new?
If you could freeze one small moment from this month, what would it be?
Creative ideas for memory keeping
Try to notice what feels very “right now.” Regular details that define this season of your life. It could be the way your kitchen looks at the end of the day. The spot where you always sit. The book on your nightstand. The project you keep coming back to. The view outside your window. The way your schedule looks lately.
Photograph your routines. Capture the in-between moments. Save the details that might quietly change in a few months without you realizing it.
Pay attention to how things feel, not just how they look. What has your energy been like lately? What has been taking up mental space? What conversations are you having over and over? Sometimes a moment in time is less about a photo and more about a sentence that captures this season. Write down what feels true right now. Even a simple line like, “This is what life feels like lately,” can anchor the page.
These small slices of everyday life are what make this moment in time unique. When you look back later, they are often the pieces that bring everything rushing back.
Add a creative touch
If you enjoy using digital supplies, my March Moments in Time collection will help you illustrate your memories.. The collection includes clocks, meaningful quotes, and plenty of great supporting cards and papers. They work nicely for layouts, journaling cards, planners, or any creative project you are working on this month.
Keep this theme in mind
Later, when you flip back through your albums, these simple snapshots will remind you what this part of your life really felt like. And sometimes that is more meaningful than any big milestone. That is what I want this month to be about. Just paying attention.
We will look back at this theme at the end of the month in the March Roundup post. Notice the everyday moments. I will be sharing more thoughts and inspiration throughout March, so keep an eye out if you want to follow along.
