Why I take the Goodreads challenge each year

I have participated in the annual Goodreads reading challenge each year since 2016 when I gave myself a “talking to” about the state of my reading habits. I plan to keep this up from now on because it has made a real difference in my life. I’m sure I wouldn’t have read most of these books last year if I hadn’t committed to the goal of reading 24 books in 2018.

I’m going to continue for this year with a slightly more ambitious goal of 30 books. I used to be such a bookworm so it’s funny that I need to set goals now to get in my reading, but in today’s world I find that I end up doing most of my reading on the internet unless I make a conscious effort to include books in my life. I love reading so I’m so happy to have the goodreads challenge and community for inspiration!

If you would like to connect with me on goodreads, you can find me here.
