Sharing my March roundup

It took me a few extra days to finish my March roundup but I’m so happy to have it done now. I love having a record of our everyday life and my roundup tool helps me make sure I’m keeping track of these details in a quick and easy format.

Here are the “ingredients” of my page:

Design decisions:

  • I decided to go with the black & white (and yellow) version of the timeline. I loved using the colorful ones last year, but felt ready for a change.

  • I thought a black and grey background would be a good way to have the colors of the other images stand out.

  • I picked a pink for the numbers card to match my mask in the photo next to it.

  • With all the information and bright colors, I decided to keep everything else very simple.

Keeping track of what happened:

  • I’ve been keeping a daily news journal in my notes app on my Apple devices. I just jot down a few headlines or important tidbits each day. Now it’s become a small daily habit for me that doesn’t take much time.

  • We barely did anything and hardly went anywhere so I didn’t have much to look through on my calendar. We did have a visit from my daughter and her husband. We all quarantined for 2 weeks before they arrived.

  • Unfortunately, I only took a handful of photos this month. I’ve got to find ways to get inspired again with daily photography. It’s difficult to do that when you don’t really do anything different, but I need to remember it’s good to capture the everyday routine of this time in photos.

My roundup prompts and graphic are in this post if you want to use them for your own monthly roundup. If you share on instagram, be sure to use the hashtag #memoryroundup so I can see your post!
