100 days left in the year

Not to alarm anybody, but as of today there are only 100 days left in the year! That means if you have certain projects you want to accomplish this year, now is the time to get going on them. It’s also a great time to start your holiday shopping a little early this year as experts are projecting that there will be shortages of many items, including toys.

For me, this is a great reminder to check in on my creative projects and goals and evaluate what I want the rest of the year to look like for me and my family.

Here are some of the creative things I want to do in the next 100 days:

  • Finish and release the rest of the digital designs I have planned for this year. Yes, Riley and I have already been planning next year as well, so I’m pretty excited to get to that!

  • Start my holiday shopping early

  • Work on (and hopefully complete) a photobook

  • Host an early Thanksgiving for my family in October

  • Take fall photos

  • Finish a few LEGO builds with Alex

  • FInd a few more fun ornaments for our holiday tree

  • Sort through old photos and memorabilia and make sure that I get them digitized (I won’t be able to finish this project, but I would like to make a dent).

  • Figure out some new holiday treats to make that are gluten-free.

  • Finally use some of my new kitchen gadgets I’ve bought over the past year (Pampered Chef quick cooker and air fryer).

Of course, I always hope to accomplish way too much when I set goals, but I feel like this is a pretty reasonable list to work on and I don’t expect perfection on this. It’s amazing how the pandemic changed my perspective on that. I used to be in such a rush to get everything done, and now I’m a lot better about taking it day by day. The important thing for me is really just to keep the creativity flowing because that’s what makes me happiest.

What do you hope to work on in the next 100 days? I hope you will pick at least 2 or 3 things and actually write them down. You are much more likely to achieve something once you’ve written it down!
