New book club selection - The Art of Making Memories
It's time to announce the newest selection for my book club, and I'm excited about this one. I chose The Art of Making Memories by Meik Wiking. It's a great book that's available in several formats. Please note that one of the Amazon links for this book needs to be corrected for the Kindle version and shows a different title. This link will lead you to the correct version for all formats. I notified Amazon's customer service department, who told me they would fix it soon.
Why I chose this book:
I read the introduction and chapter one of this book before deciding to pick it as our next read and knew it would be a great book to inspire creativity. I'm now on chapter five and really enjoying the read.
My husband saw this book and immediately assumed it was meant for scrapbookers and those who like documenting memories. While the book has a perfect application for that audience, it is about so much more. The main focus is on how we make memories, what makes them memorable, and how they relate to our overall happiness. I've told my husband and son many lessons I'm learning as I read, and they have both been very interested in the topics.
It's fun that my daughter Riley is also reading the book at the same time. I love having someone to discuss the book with. That is why I started this book club in the first place. Sometimes it's challenging to find someone interested in the same topics and willing to share their perspective. I hope my book club can provide that for others!
