My best reading year on Goodreads

I had my best reading year so far since I started using Goodreads to track my books in 2016. I’m so glad I have this tool to keep my accountable to myself for my reading goals. I have always been a bookworm, but lost track of my love of reading for a few years because of my focus on so many online activities. Now I’m careful to keep this part of my life a bigger priority.

Here’s what I accomplished in 2019:

I’m happy that I read so many substantial books during the year. I found a nice balance between challenging and just-for-fun reading. My goal was originally 30 books and I could have just read something small the last day of the year to finish up, but I chose to spend time with family instead and I don’t regret that decision one bit. Numbers aren’t everything. I feel like I met my goal by having a great reading year.

Here’s what I read: (find the list here)

I thought it would be fun to look back on the previous years I’ve tracked with Goodreads to see how I’ve improved over time.

I’m looking forward to another great year of reading! I hope you will follow me on Goodreads. I’m always looking for more book buddies!
