Adobe Photoshop Elements 2024
Adobe Photoshop Elements 2024 is a photo editing software that works well for all kinds of photo projects. Photoshop Elements is the program I use the most for creating digital scrapbook pages. I've been a loyal PSE user since 2007, and it's been a lot of fun to see the changes over the years.
Something I look forward to each fall is the release of the newest edition of Photoshop Elements. They just keep making it better and more powerful, yet they still maintain the simple interface that makes it so user-friendly.

One of the most prominent new features in Photoshop Elements 2024 is the redesigned interface. It has a more modern feel, with light and dark mode options. Adobe has also consolidated all text options in one place, making it easier to find and use them.
This is what it looks like when I have a layout open in the program (using light mode background). The area to use for digital scrapbooking is no longer called “expert”, but is labeled as “advanced” now.
Photoshop Elements 2024 also includes several new AI-powered features. For example, the new "Replace Sky" feature allows you to easily replace the sky in any photo with a sky from a different photo. The new "Text Guided Edit" feature allows you to add text to your photos and then use AI to stylize the text in a variety of ways.
In addition to the new features, Photoshop Elements 2024 also includes a number of popular features from previous versions, such as:
Guided Edits: Step-by-step instructions for editing and creating photos.
Quick Actions: One-click fixes for common photo editing tasks.
Creative Effects: A variety of effects that you can use to transform your photos.
Organizer: A tool for managing and organizing your photos.
Overall, Adobe Photoshop Elements 2024 is a powerful and versatile photo editing software that is suitable for users of all skill levels. It offers a wide range of features, including basic editing tools, AI-powered features, and creative effects.
After years of doing this, I already know the question I will get asked the most - "Do I need to upgrade?" - as always, my answer is, "It depends."
If you are using a version older than PSE 2020 and can afford to upgrade, I recommend it. The versions after 2018 especially have such significant improvements over older releases that you miss out if you don't have a newer program. If you can't afford the upgrade, consider putting it on your wish list for later or give Santa a few hints. Remember that you get a discount if you upgrade from an older version.
My favorite new feature is the addition of free Adobe stock photos. This version is also a fun upgrade to try some new AI actions. If you use PSE for photo editing and creating images for social media, you will greatly appreciate this upgrade.
The digital scrapbooking (advanced mode) interface has remained basically the same, so if you use the program primarily for digital scrapbooking without photo editing, you may not need to upgrade if you have a recent version. I would love updates in this area, but I don't know what I would request, as it's just a fantastic program for digital scrapbooking already. Adobe Photoshop Elements is my favorite program to use for creating, especially when it comes to making memory pages and scrapbook layouts.
I decided to upgrade to the 2024 version because I love having the latest and greatest tools in digital creation. I'm a technology junkie and look forward to these updated releases each year.
