September is here, and I wanted to share a quick update about this month's Learning collection.

The last few weeks have been unusually full around here. We've had a lot happening in our family, and I've also been dealing with a hand injury that has made spending long stretches of time designing more difficult than usual. As much as I wanted to have the new collection ready to welcome September, I finally had to admit that I needed a little more time.

It’s the end of August, and I'm getting ready to work on my monthly memory roundup. Before September begins, I like to spend a few minutes looking back at the moments that filled my month.

As I think about my own life, I keep coming back to a common thread. I love traditions. I love revisiting favorite places. I've been creating monthly roundups since 2006 because I never want to lose those everyday memories.

I've been wanting to design a Rhythm & Routine Collection for a long time. So much of life is made up of ordinary moments that are easy to overlook while we're living them. The routines we follow, the places we spend our time, the hobbies we return to, and the little traditions we share with the people we love all become part of our story. That's why I'm so excited to focus on this theme during the month of August.

Welcome August! I'm excited to begin a new month and explore the theme of Rhythms and Routines. Routines sometimes get a bad reputation for feeling repetitive or restrictive, but I've found that the right rhythms can actually create more freedom. They help us spend less energy deciding what to do next and more energy enjoying the things that matter most. As summer begins to wind down and many of us prepare for a new season, August is a wonderful time to notice the routines that support the life we want to live.

I've been thinking about the Play Collection for a long time. The older I get, the more I realize that play isn't just for kids. It's something we all need. Whether it's spending time with the kids in your life, working on a creative hobby, playing games with family, exploring the outdoors, or simply doing something that makes us smile, those moments deserve to be remembered. That's why I'm so excited to focus on the theme of play this month.

Hello July! I’m excited to dive into this month, and explore the them of play. You might think this topic only applies to kids or those with children in their lives, but I believe everyone should have a form of play to bring joy into everyday life. Think of it as an invitation to loosen up a little. We are in the heat of summer in the northern hemisphere and that has a playful energy to it. July is the perfect time to look for joy in fun moments and simple pleasures.

June is coming to an end, and I’m ready for my monthly memory roundup. Before turning the page to July, I like to spend a few minutes looking back at the places I went, the experiences I had, and the little adventures that filled my days.

I’ll scroll through my photos, check my calendar, and piece together the moments that made this month memorable. It’s not complicated. I’m just gathering what is already there. The places I explored, the memories I made, the things I learned, and the stories I don’t want to forget. That’s really all a monthly roundup is. A few photos, a few notes, and a simple way to capture what life looked like this month.
