I’m in love with the theme for this month of Joy in the Everyday. Most of the moments we want to remember are not big events. They are the small things that happen during a normal day. The routines, the little wins, the comfortable spaces, and the moments that make you pause and think, this is good. That is what this collection was designed for.

Welcome to April. The season is shifting, colors are beginning to show up again, and there is a fresh energy in the air. It is the perfect time to slow down a bit and look for joy in the small parts of your day.

March is coming to a close, which means it’s time to pause and take a look back before we move on. I always like to end the month by gathering the pieces of it in one place. Nothing complicated. Just pulling together the moments, photos, notes, and little details that made this month what it was.

As I have been thinking about my last post, I decided I wanted to write about how trends in memory keeping have changed. I have found that my scrapbooking, journaling, and photography styles have evolved over the years and I like how they have come together for me right now.

I started scrapbooking with Creative Memories supplies in 1994, and these zoo layouts were some of my first pages. While I have plenty of new pages to be working on, I decided it would be nice to redo these layouts to reflect a more modern memory-keeping style.

When I created the Moments in Time collection, I kept coming back to one idea. Life does not always need a big event to be worth documenting.

Most of our lives are made up of regular days. Ordinary routines. Small details that quietly define a season. And those are the pieces I wanted this collection to support.

Welcome to March. This month always feels like we are shifting into something new. Winter slowly steps back, the light changes a little, and everything starts to wake up again. It feels like the right time to think about renewal.

Renewal does not have to be a big thing. It often shows up quietly. It might be a small change in your routine, a little more energy in your day, or a moment when something finally feels lighter. Sometimes it is as simple as looking at a part of your life with fresh eyes.

I loved doing my February roundup layouts, even though it wasn’t the most exciting month. I spent most of my time in recovery mode after my prolapse repair surgery. It was the perfect excuse to watch a lot of TV, so that was a big part of our memories this month.

It’s time to wrap up February! I love saying goodbye to the month with a little farewell activity of gathering and organizing all the things that have happened into an interesting and useful format for memory keeping. A monthly roundup is one of the simplest and most meaningful ways to reflect on your life. You gather a few favorite memories, add some photos, and spend a few minutes recording the highlights. Before you know it, you’ve created a snapshot of your month, and a little time capsule you’ll love revisiting later.
