Create a correspondence center to keep you organized all year long
My daughter was here for a visit and wanted to see what I had in my desk drawers. She was really excited when she saw my correspondence drawer and she encouraged me to share it here with all of my readers. I put together some story images to illustrate how this system works for me.. I hope you find it useful!
Two Summers in One
For some odd reason, I read a market projection report from Frito Lay this past spring (I sometimes read random stuff online) and they were saying that they expected sales of their snacks to be robust because of the “two summers in one” approach that many would be taking this year. Their thought was that because most people were on lockdown last summer, that they would be more anxious to be out and about this year.
The assumptions are a bit of an overgeneralization of course, but it gave me some food for thought.
Favorite Fonts - Top picks for the best free handwritten fonts
I’m sharing my favorite handwritten fonts today. My previous font posts have been very popular and I definitely want to continue on this series. I see so many posts out there recommending hard-to-read fonts. I’ve made thousands of scrapbook pages over the years (both paper and digital), taught scrapbooking classes, written for instructive scrapbooking sites, and been a digital designer. I’ve looked at A LOT of text and fonts over the years and have put a great deal of thought and study into my own font choices. It’s tempting to just download all the amazing fonts out there, especially when they are free. If you love fonts, go ahead and download to your heart’s content, but be sure to do some research and figure out which ones look the best. Focus on readability above all else. It will make a huge difference in your projects!
Six great ways to be a hometown tourist
While everyone around the world is in different stages of Covid lockdown, there are many people who are starting to travel again thanks to vaccinations and great medical advances. Even in the best of cases, long-distance travel isn’t always feasible or even affordable. Those are some of the reasons why exploring your own hometown can be a great option. I think it’s also important to be familiar with your own surroundings and appreciate your location. I find that I feel happier about where I live when I take the time to enjoy what there is around me!
Favorite Fonts - Top picks for the best free typewriter fonts
I’m excited to tell you all about my favorite typewriter fonts today. My previous posts on the best basic & free journaling fonts and the best legible and free script fonts have been very popular and I definitely want to continue on this series. I see so many posts out there recommending hard-to-read fonts. I’ve made thousands of scrapbook pages over the years (both paper and digital), taught scrapbooking classes, written for instructive scrapbooking sites, and been a digital designer. Mollie Ollie organizer for coloring and notebooking creativity projects
I just love organizing, especially when it comes to crafting supplies. I always feel more creative when I can easily access the tools I need for my crafting. I have noticed several of these nursery organizers lately as I’ve bought shower gifts for expectant mothers and I thought they would make great craft organizers. I was really excited when one of the owners of Mollie Ollie asked me if I would be interested in sharing my ideas for a post. Definitely! I decided I wanted to put together a center for all of my coloring and notebooking projects. I love using notebooks for bullet journals, keeping track of ideas, planning, and sketch work. I also have collected a lot of different pens, pencils, crayons and markers and got tired of trying to round them all up whenever I wanted to work with them. Turns out that this organizer was just the perfect solution!
If you want to order your own, I would encourage you to use this link + the discount code of 10ktcreative to save 10% off your purchase. Offer expires June 27th.
Online shopping finds - Kitchen Edition
I’ve always been into online shopping, but the pandemic made me rely even more heavily on the internet to find what I needed (and didn’t need). I’m betting a lot of you out there can relate! Sometimes I just like to browse through some of my past purchases in my online accounts and see what I’ve found. I thought it might be fun to share some of my favorites here as well. It turns out that all of these purchases are kitchen-related. I’ve definitely spent more time in the kitchen over the last year than I have in a long time!
Sew Creative
I used to do quite a bit of sewing many years ago. I took my first sewing class at the age of 12 and made a wrap-around skirt for my first project. I remember being so proud of it when I wore it to church. I took sewing in both junior high and high school and always enjoyed it. My favorite part about sewing was looking through the pattern books. I always had big dreams when I perused those books.

Joy - checking in on my one little word
Now that we are almost through April, I thought it would be a good time to check in on my one little word. I chose the word JOY to guide me through this year. I haven’t been overly focused on this word but I have made it a point to notice joy in my life and to appreciate it more.
