End of October
Before you get caught up in Halloween celebrations tomorrow, take a few minutes and start your memory roundup for the month. Just copy and paste my simple questions and you will thank yourself later! This is such a great way to keep track of your life. I refer back to my own roundups all the time!
Documenting food while traveling
I’m on the road right now so my mind is on documenting travels. A big part of the travel experience for me is food. Ok, a big part of everyday life for me is food! I do love to eat! When I plan our trips, I spend a lot of time reading restaurant reviews to find out the best local food.
Stitched together with good intentions
I had some fun playing around with digital mixed media to create another 2 page spread for my in-progress art journaling photobook. I love the sewing theme of this one as I used to do quite a bit of sewing in my early motherhood days.
See ya September!
Well September… it’s time to say goodbye! This is the last day of the month and that means it’s a great time to answer a few quick questions and gather your memories. I love Roundup time!
Sometimes in the waves of change we find our true direction
I set a goal for myself to create at least a few art journaling pieces each quarter and I’m so glad I made this a priority. This is a creative activity that I truly love and I enjoy every part of the process. I put it together as a 2 page spread for my in-progress art journaling photobook.
What August looked like
It’s funny how some months seem to have a color theme. Without even trying, I ended up with a lot of photos with yellow and gold in them which happened to work out perfectly with my calendar and month cards. I swear I didn’t plan it that way! Here’s what August looked like in my world:
End of August
It’s almost the last day of the month and that means it’s time to take a few minutes and gather up your memories. This is my single most useful memory keeping tool! I’ve been doing this EVERY month since January of 2006. Now if the perfect time to start!
Planning memory album displays
I’ve been searching Pinterest and the internet to try to find pictures of several photobook albums displayed on a bookshelf. I’ve had a hard time finding what I’m looking for. Maybe nobody has completed that many? lol! Or maybe they just haven’t thought to take a picture of them on a shelf. Most online images of photo books seem to share what the inside looks like. Of course, I’m very interested in that too - but I have been trying to figure out what I want my bookshelf to look like when I have multiple albums finished because that will influence what I decide to use for the covers. It’s a way to scrap with the end in mind.
the month that was
I’m always grateful for my monthly roundup habits and my favorite way to use these prompts is right on a scrapbook page. I love adding details to my THIS MONTH cards and putting them all on a page with photos and a few fun cards to make it complete. Here’s what July looked like:
