Are you ready to roundup the month of May?
The end of the month is almost here, so it’s time to do a month-in-review roundup. I love to take a memory inventory at the end of the month and document it to add to our family albums.
Honoring and documenting Memorial Day
I’ll be posting the roundup prompts here on Monday, so I thought this would be a good time to think about Memorial Day weekend.
May is on it’s way out
There’s only about a week left in the month of May so I'm here with a check-in to help you get ready for the monthly roundup! I'm finding it helpful to take inventory of my photos and memory keeping before the last day of the month hits. Then I still have time to capture some great moments before it's too late.
A little pet humor
I spent the last week visiting my daughter and her husband, which means I got to spend a lot of time with my grand-doggy. Piper is a golden doodle, and she’s got so much energy and a silly personality. And bless her little heart because she sure loves me! She likes her grandma rubs and loves to fall asleep on my feet. Not just touching my feet, but the full body on top of my feet. That’s her favorite. lol! She likes to look me right in the eyes and then put her paw in my hands to ask me to pet her.
April 2022 is now in the books!
My roundup is now “in the books,” as you say when referring to something being complete. However, it’s not actually in a book yet… that part will come later when I get my photo book printed for the year. April is documented, though! I used my own roundup prompts to inspire me to create a two-page summary layout for the month. I will create a few more pages about our trip to Kanab, but I love that most of my month is represented here.
Brush up on your memory keeping skills
I have been writing blog posts for years and creating video tutorials that help develop memory-keeping skills. I thought it would be helpful to put together a list of my favorite resources to share.
Fun new designs for National Scrapbook Day
National Scrapbook Day is on Saturday and I have 6 new items in the shop and they are super colorful and fun. I love the theme of photography and Instagram is my happy place. These are so versatile and I know I will be using them a lot.
April Roundup Prompts
It’s time to do a month-in-review of April. I love to take a memory inventory at the end of the month and document it all to add to our family albums. This is my 17th (SEVENTEEN!) year of doing monthly roundups. I started this routine in January of 2006, and it’s my most helpful tool for meaningful and easy memory keeping.
25 Questions to Answer for Great Scrapbook Journaling
I put together this questionnaire back in 2002 and sent it to all of my family members on both sides of our family. They all filled them out and returned them to me via email. I still have all of their responses saved. It would be fun to send it out again after all of these years and compare the answers.
