Adobe Photoshop Elements 2021 - new release and review
Every year, I make sure to check out the new Adobe Photoshop Elements update and review it here on my blog. I appreciate that Adobe has given me the opportunity to work with a review copy this year so I could play around with the new features and share my thoughts.
Fall comfort foods
Fall seems like a special time for food and I swear there are many dishes that taste better when it’s just a little cool outside. These are a few of my favorite comforting foods to serve at this time of year. I hope you get a chance to try a few of them!
a fun treat to make for Election Day
I have a tasty and very easy treat project to help you make Election Day a little more fun! I don’t know about you, but I’m coping with election stress by carb-loading. Seems like a good idea, right?! I kept this really simple by using a boxed cake mix and a can of prepared frosting. I put the frosting in an icing bag with a star decorator tip and just swirled it on top of the cupcakes. A few festive sprinkles combined with my free voting stickers added the perfect finishing touch!
I printed out the stickers on Avery 5293 round labels but you could also just print them on a thicker paper and cut them out with a circle punch or a cutting machine. I put one on each side of a toothpick and ended up with some really cute toppers!
Plan for a safe and festive Halloween
How will you be celebrating Halloween this year? It’s an unusual time with the Covid-19 pandemic in full swing, especially here in the United States. Unfortunately, Utah is doing a terrible job of getting the virus under control and our numbers keep rising. We have a lot of kids here in Utah and I understand why they will still want to go trick-or-treating. There are precautions people can take to make this holiday safe and the CDC put out this list of Halloween activities with their associated risk + some ideas. It’s actually a great guide for several holidays so be sure to bookmark or pin it!
Some humor to lighten the mood
I think we can all agree it’s a tense time right now! One of my main coping tools is humor and I think it’s the perfect day to share some funnies. Hope you enjoy them!
15 blog posts to celebrate 15 years of blogging
I started this blog back in October of 2005 so I’ve now reached my 15th blog-i-versary! I started on blogger and mostly posted about digital scrapbooking products I liked and shared some of my layouts. As I built a following, I shared more of our life and expanded my blogging focus. I moved to typepad and stayed there for many years. I moved to squarespace about 5 years ago and hope to stay on this platform as I really love how easy it is to use.
Some giggles to pass the time
I’m still knee-deep in finishing up my blog redesign and branding update. I’m also working on a huge shop update that I’m hoping to have ready by tomorrow or Friday at the latest. On top of everyday life, that means I’ve had a hard time fitting in blog posts the past few days. It’s not for lack of content or desire - I have so much that I’m excited to share here. It’s just basically a bandwidth issue. There are only so many hours in the day and I don’t want to lose sight of the really important stuff like being there for my family. With all that said, I think you will agree that we need a giggle break today. I file away these funny things all the time and always look forward to when I can share them with you. I hope you enjoy them and have a few minute
Do you use Bloglovin?
I’ve used Feedly for years to follow blogs, but I’ve recently been enjoying Bloglovin and seem to get more followers there. I’m updating my rss feed there with this post.
I especially like using their mobile app.
We need extra laughs right now
I basically get through this crazy life because of humor and memes right now. Anyone else doing that? Oh, and eating. I’m definitely stress eating. Humor is a much healthier way to cope though so let’s focus on that instead!
