End of December
Can you believe we are almost done with 2019? Crazy! Roundup time is a great way to reflect back on the memories of the holidays and the entire month. I also love looking over all of the roundups for the year to do a full recap for our scrapbooks. This is when regular documenting really pays off!
Christmas art journal spread
It’s been at least a month since I’ve created any sort of scrapbook page and I felt a bit rusty when I first opened up Photoshop Elements. It only took a few minutes to get back in the groove though and I just added and subtracted layers until I ended up with this fun spread.
A Belated Farewell to November
If you’ve been following my Instagram account, you will know that I went to Belgium last week and came back with a bad bout of bronchitis. That means I’m behind on everything - including own personal roundup of the month’s events. I didn’t even remember to post the prompt! That is the first time I’ve skipped that since I started this little routine in January of 2006! I hope the faithful roundup followers went ahead without me.
End of October
Before you get caught up in Halloween celebrations tomorrow, take a few minutes and start your memory roundup for the month. Just copy and paste my simple questions and you will thank yourself later! This is such a great way to keep track of your life. I refer back to my own roundups all the time!
Documenting food while traveling
I’m on the road right now so my mind is on documenting travels. A big part of the travel experience for me is food. Ok, a big part of everyday life for me is food! I do love to eat! When I plan our trips, I spend a lot of time reading restaurant reviews to find out the best local food.
Stitched together with good intentions
I had some fun playing around with digital mixed media to create another 2 page spread for my in-progress art journaling photobook. I love the sewing theme of this one as I used to do quite a bit of sewing in my early motherhood days.
See ya September!
Well September… it’s time to say goodbye! This is the last day of the month and that means it’s a great time to answer a few quick questions and gather your memories. I love Roundup time!
Sometimes in the waves of change we find our true direction
I set a goal for myself to create at least a few art journaling pieces each quarter and I’m so glad I made this a priority. This is a creative activity that I truly love and I enjoy every part of the process. I put it together as a 2 page spread for my in-progress art journaling photobook.
What August looked like
It’s funny how some months seem to have a color theme. Without even trying, I ended up with a lot of photos with yellow and gold in them which happened to work out perfectly with my calendar and month cards. I swear I didn’t plan it that way! Here’s what August looked like in my world:
