Still here
I’m still here. My surgery recovery has been tougher than I anticipated and I’ve just not been able to get the energy to post here until now. My surgery was 6 weeks ago and I thought I would be a little further along at this point. I am a slow healer though, and it was a pretty extensive surgery.
Post-surgery report
I mentioned in my last post that I would be having surgery and I’m happy to say that I’m on the other side of that now. I had a diastasis recti repair done on January 13th. My split was considered to be severe, so it couldn’t be fixed through physical therapy. In order to be a candidate for diastasis recti surgery, a patient must have separation of abdominal muscles that is greater than two finger widths. My split was 4 finger widths, so it definitely needed to be done.
My August 2024 Roundup
Here’s my August 2024 memory roundup on a scrapbook page. My roundup grid template makes it so easy to fill in all the info and add a few highlight photos that recap the month or any parcel of time you choose to document.
We had a lot of grandkid time this month, so I felt like it was only fitting to choose pictures of these cute little boys for my August page.
Life Lately
Summer has been very full for me this year. If you follow me on Instagram (and I hope you do!), you might have seen how much fun July was for our family. We spent lots of time with grandsons, time at our cabin, a trip to the Utah Shakespeare Festival, and a 4-wheeling adventure, and we enjoyed making memories every day.
Getting my Ducks in a Row
It’s springtime around here, and I feel like I haven’t been able to get my “ducks in a row” all year! I’ve had such an interesting and unpredictable year so far, and I’ll admit that it’s thrown me for a bit of a loop. I’ve clued in that life is just that way, but it has all been a little crazy lately.
My April 2024 Roundup
Now that I'm back from Grandma Land (hanging out with my daughter's family for a month), I'm finally doing some scrapbooking again. It's a great excuse to look at pictures of my cute grandsons, whom I miss so much!
My March 2024 Roundup
It’s May, and I’m just now getting to my March roundup. That’s perfectly ok! I still have a few from past years to catch up on as well. I don’t feel too bad about it because I have the notes jotted down in my calendars. However, it is always easier to do it when the memories are fresh. Thankfully, March was a pretty easy month to remember.
Enjoy the moment
If you don’t follow me on social media, you might not know that I have a brand-new grandson! Just 20 months after our wonderful grandson Calvin was born, his new baby brother Caleb joined the family. Mom and baby are doing great, and we are all having so much fun!
My February 2024 Roundup
March has been quite a month for me, so I haven’t been able to get around to my February roundup until now. That’s okay; it’s never too late to work on recapping memories. Sure, it’s easier when they are fresh in your mind, but my roundup prompts help me keep track of my daily life. I make good use of my calendar to jot down the things that happen each day.
