I finished my May roundup and I’m happy to share the finished layout with you. I hope it helps you to see how I document our everyday life in a monthly format. Some scrappers prefer a daily or weekly spread and that’s great too. For me, the monthly approach has really been perfect!

It’s the last day of May and that means it’s a great time to take a few minutes and document what life has been like in your world for the past few weeks. Roundups are my most useful memory keeping tool and I love this simple habit!

I finished my April Roundup page over the weekend and I’m glad to have these details recorded for our memory books. Sometimes it’s really tough to document the difficult news, but there were also bright spots as well and I want to remember both sides of the equation. As a household, we are now all fully vaccinated and it sure feels good!

I’m sharing the April roundup graphic today because the next few days are very busy ones in the world of scrapbooking. Saturday, May 1st is International Scrapbook Day! That means I will be having a storewide sale (which only happens twice a year. The next one is not until October). I will also have a new collection hitting the shop and plenty of fun ideas to share in my latest newsletter. Get ready for a great weekend!

It took me a few extra days to finish my March roundup but I’m so happy to have it done now. I love having a record of our everyday life and my roundup tool helps me make sure I’m keeping track of these details in a quick and easy format.

Now on to the roundup!

I finished my February 2021 roundup and it feels good to have a new page for our family records. This is a great format for me, but there is no right or wrong way to do a roundup. I even shared a GIF template in my Instagram stories the other day and quite a few people enjoyed using that for their roundup. I’ll share that later in the post.

I usually tweak the roundup graphic a bit each year and I think this is my favorite one so far. Feel free to save it for your own use. I’ll post a new one each month to remind us all to document our everyday lives.

I think this was the most difficult roundup I’ve ever done. Life has been hard to document over the last year, but this was a particularly scary month in the United States. I couldn’t exactly leave political events off of my recap and I wouldn’t want to do that. I also needed to be sure they were recorded in a way that will be suitable for all viewers of my album. I plan to do more journaling of the events that took place, but won’t be sharing those publicly.

I hope that by sharing my approach, it will make it easier for you to decide how you want to do your own documenting.
