A Belated Farewell to November
If you’ve been following my Instagram account, you will know that I went to Belgium last week and came back with a bad bout of bronchitis. That means I’m behind on everything - including own personal roundup of the month’s events. I didn’t even remember to post the prompt! That is the first time I’ve skipped that since I started this little routine in January of 2006! I hope the faithful roundup followers went ahead without me.
Humor keeps you creative
I’ve long suspected that having a sense of humor makes you more creative, but I’m always glad to find proof. Check out this article from Forbes to see why humor is good for your creativity. In the meantime, let’s have some laughs!
Appreciating the evolution of iPhones
I recently purchased the iPhone 11 pro and I’ve been so happy with it. I usually will update my phone every other year and pass the old one on to one of my children. They are definitely the beneficiaries in my trickle-down-phone-economics plan! Then I usually trade in their old phone for Apple credit. I don’t need to upgrade as often as I do, but I like to use the excuse of needing to stay up to date on the latest photography technology for this blog. Sounds reasonable, don’t you think?
End of October
Before you get caught up in Halloween celebrations tomorrow, take a few minutes and start your memory roundup for the month. Just copy and paste my simple questions and you will thank yourself later! This is such a great way to keep track of your life. I refer back to my own roundups all the time!
Silly way to start the day
I love to start the day with a few giggles. I believe humor is an important part of a creative life. Here are some funnies that I have found lately. Hope you enjoy them!
Documenting food while traveling
I’m on the road right now so my mind is on documenting travels. A big part of the travel experience for me is food. Ok, a big part of everyday life for me is food! I do love to eat! When I plan our trips, I spend a lot of time reading restaurant reviews to find out the best local food.
Stitched together with good intentions
I had some fun playing around with digital mixed media to create another 2 page spread for my in-progress art journaling photobook. I love the sewing theme of this one as I used to do quite a bit of sewing in my early motherhood days.
See ya September!
Well September… it’s time to say goodbye! This is the last day of the month and that means it’s a great time to answer a few quick questions and gather your memories. I love Roundup time!
Adobe Express for creative projects
I think it’s generally understood around here that I’m an app and technology junkie. I especially love the combination of tech + creativity and Adobe Spark is a great way to enjoy those two interests together. I’ve honestly been meaning to try Spark for ages and finally got around to it this week. It’s so easy to use and I can see many possibilities for future projects.
