I’m excited about the possibilities for this new Original Orange collection and I hope you are too. Let’s take a look at all the goodies!
Favorite Fonts - Top picks for the best free typewriter fonts
I’m excited to tell you all about my favorite typewriter fonts today. My previous posts on the best basic & free journaling fonts and the best legible and free script fonts have been very popular and I definitely want to continue on this series. I see so many posts out there recommending hard-to-read fonts. I’ve made thousands of scrapbook pages over the years (both paper and digital), taught scrapbooking classes, written for instructive scrapbooking sites, and been a digital designer. I’ve looked at A LOT of text and fonts over the years and have put a great deal of thought and study into my own font choices. It’s tempting to just download all the amazing fonts out there, especially when they are free. If you love fonts, go ahead and download to your heart’s content, but be sure to do some research and figure out which ones look the best. Focus on readability above all else. It will make a huge difference in your projects!
Mollie Ollie organizer for coloring and notebooking creativity projects
I just love organizing, especially when it comes to crafting supplies. I always feel more creative when I can easily access the tools I need for my crafting. I have noticed several of these nursery organizers lately as I’ve bought shower gifts for expectant mothers and I thought they would make great craft organizers. I was really excited when one of the owners of Mollie Ollie asked me if I would be interested in sharing my ideas for a post. Definitely! I decided I wanted to put together a center for all of my coloring and notebooking projects. I love using notebooks for bullet journals, keeping track of ideas, planning, and sketch work. I also have collected a lot of different pens, pencils, crayons and markers and got tired of trying to round them all up whenever I wanted to work with them. Turns out that this organizer was just the perfect solution!
If you want to order your own, I would encourage you to use this link + the discount code of 10ktcreative to save 10% off your purchase. Offer expires June 27th.
My roundup for May 2021
I finished my May roundup and I’m happy to share the finished layout with you. I hope it helps you to see how I document our everyday life in a monthly format. Some scrappers prefer a daily or weekly spread and that’s great too. For me, the monthly approach has really been perfect!
How to choose fonts and font sizes for scrapbook layouts
I have a brand new video tutorial for you today and I’m excited to hear what you think of it. I put a lot of work into my tutorials because I want them to be really useful and inspiring. This one is all about how to make your journaling look it’s very best. I hope you enjoy it!
Brand New Color Stories Collection - Ruby Reds!
I have another brand new collection in my Color Stories series. This time it’s Ruby Reds! Red can be a tricky color to design with, but I had so much fun with all of these shades of red. I know I’m going to use this collection a lot and I’m already hard at work on a new video tutorial to show you some fun and useful tips.
Don’t forget that you get extra savings if you buy the BIG BUNDLE!
Time to roundup the month of May
It’s the last day of May and that means it’s a great time to take a few minutes and document what life has been like in your world for the past few weeks. Roundups are my most useful memory keeping tool and I love this simple habit!
Online shopping finds - Kitchen Edition
I’ve always been into online shopping, but the pandemic made me rely even more heavily on the internet to find what I needed (and didn’t need). I’m betting a lot of you out there can relate! Sometimes I just like to browse through some of my past purchases in my online accounts and see what I’ve found. I thought it might be fun to share some of my favorites here as well. It turns out that all of these purchases are kitchen-related. I’ve definitely spent more time in the kitchen over the last year than I have in a long time!
Sew Creative
I used to do quite a bit of sewing many years ago. I took my first sewing class at the age of 12 and made a wrap-around skirt for my first project. I remember being so proud of it when I wore it to church. I took sewing in both junior high and high school and always enjoyed it. My favorite part about sewing was looking through the pattern books. I always had big dreams when I perused those books.
