Designing Your Life - Part 2
I’m glad I chose Designing Your Life: How to Build a Well-Lived, Joyful Life by Bill Burnett and Dave Evans for the first selection of my new online book club, Books to Inspire Creativity. It was a great read to begin our creative journey together, but it also helped me as I’ve been thinking about how I want to manage this book club in the future. I feel like this was an exercise to try some ideas, and I will build on this experience for future selections and discussions.
April Memories and Easter Fun
Let's celebrate April and some Easter fun! My newest designs will help you document all the joy and fun of this month's memories. I have two new sets of papers, two card packs, and some bits and pieces to help you document your everyday life.
End of March
Happy last day of March! It's a great time to round up your memories of this month. I started the practice of monthly roundups on my first blog in 2006, and I have kept going strong ever since. Creating a quick recap of the month as it ends has been my most helpful memory-keeping tool and has made a huge difference (for the better) in how I view my everyday life.
The iPhone Noir filter is great for moody landscape photos
Noir (or noire) is the French word for black. An iPhone filter by the same name also creates the look of high-contrast, black-and-white film noir. I have to admit that I often forget about using native iPhone filters. I love playing around in editing apps after I take the shot, but I recently rediscovered that shooting with another filter can be a creative experience.
Designing Your Life - Part 1
Books to Inspire Creativity is the name of my new online book club, and I have noticed so many more details about the creative process since beginning the first selection. We are starting with the book Designing Your Life: How to Build a Well-Lived, Joyful Life by Bill Burnett and Dave Evans.
March Memories and Lucky Spring
We are speeding through the month of February and it’s time for another Monthly Memories collection release. I hope your February memories will be filled with much love and happiness! I have two new sets of papers, two card packs, some bits and pieces, a new set of mini templates to help you document your everyday life.
February 2023 Memory Roundup
Having a recap of the past month all documented feels so satisfying. I love sharing each month's memories with the Roundup ideas, prompts, and supplies! It was a good month for us, with a nice long visit to spend time with our daughter and her family. Life also started to feel more "normal" for the first time in a long time now that I can walk again.
A new online book club to inspire creativity
I’ve always loved the idea of belonging to a book club, but it’s been hard to work that into my schedule, especially when my husband was always traveling for work. I have a lot more flexibility now, but I’m finding that I want to participate in a book club for creative people.
Last day of February
It's the last day of the month, which means it's a great time to look back at the memories of the past 28 days and do a roundup! This is something that I started back on my very first blog back in 2006, and I have kept going strong with the practice ever since then. Creating a quick recap of the month as it ends has been my most helpful memory-keeping tool and has made a huge difference (for the better) in how I view my everyday life.
I love sharing this idea with others, and I've had so many tell me that this has impacted their lives. I hope you will take a few minutes to reflect on the month as it ends and celebrate the memories made.
