Time for some funny stuff
It’s a great time to share some of the funny stuff I’ve been saving over the past month or two. I keep a folder to file these types of “important” images to and it’s getting pretty full. Let’s share some giggles, shall we?
My April Roundup
I finished my April Roundup page over the weekend and I’m glad to have these details recorded for our memory books. Sometimes it’s really tough to document the difficult news, but there were also bright spots as well and I want to remember both sides of the equation. As a household, we are now all fully vaccinated and it sure feels good!
Happy International Scrapbook Day!
I’m popping in here with a rare Saturday post so I can wish you all a Happy International Scrapbook Day! This is the perfect day to celebrate being a memory maker and a memory keeper.
Groovy Greens - a brand new Color Stories collection
I’m super excited to share another Color Stories collection with you. This one is called Groovy Greens and I think you’re going to love it. I felt so much joy while creating these papers, cards, stamps, and templates. Oh, and the printables are super fun as well. Great way to add some color and whimsy to your home and creative projects. Let’s take a look at all the pieces!
Posting the April roundup prompts a few days early
I’m sharing the April roundup graphic today because the next few days are very busy ones in the world of scrapbooking. Saturday, May 1st is International Scrapbook Day! That means I will be having a storewide sale (which only happens twice a year. The next one is not until October). I will also have a new collection hitting the shop and plenty of fun ideas to share in my latest newsletter. Get ready for a great weekend!
How to mix patterned papers on scrapbook layouts
Even when I was a paper scrapper, figuring out how to mix patterned papers was a tricky thing to learn. I’ve studied this topic a lot as a scrapbooker and a designer and I have some easy tips to share that will help you learn how to mix papers like a pro! This tutorial will be useful whether you are a paper, hybrid, or digital scrapbooker. It’s not specific to any app or program, just some basic design advice with lots of example to help illustrate the principles.
I hope you enjoy it and will share the link with your friends.
VIP - Very Important Posts
Whether you’re new around here or a longtime reader, I want to be sure you have an easy reference guide to some of my most useful posts. I know it can be difficult to search through years of archives and you might not even be aware of all the material I’ve written about here on this blog. I hope this is a post that you will pin or bookmark and visit often. These are all posts that will give you a lot of great information!
Joy - checking in on my one little word
Now that we are almost through April, I thought it would be a good time to check in on my one little word. I chose the word JOY to guide me through this year. I haven’t been overly focused on this word but I have made it a point to notice joy in my life and to appreciate it more.
How to create stunning scrapbook pages with black and white photos
I have a brand new video tutorial all about scrapping with black and white photos. I do a detailed walkthrough of how to edit existing black and white pictures as well as turn color photos into black and whites. I also show how to use black and white photos on modern pages and also heritage layouts. I think you will find it very useful, no matter what programs you use for photo editing.
